Customer Service

Due to the complex industrial working environment, the service life of our products depends on the customer's working environment. Under good working conditions, the service life of our products is about 5 years; Under extreme environmental conditions, our products are guaranteed to have a service life of 1 year.

1. The dielectric constant and conductivity of the medium need to be checked based on the measured medium on-site to obtain specific parameter to determine whether to use a conventional radar level meter, a precision radar level meter, or a guided wave radar level meter. If the specific dielectric constant of the tested conductive material/liquid is not less than 4 (which can be viewed on this website), a regular radar level meter can be used. If the specific dielectric constant of the tested conductive material/liquid is lower than 4, a precision or guided wave radar level meter can be used.
2. Consider the measurement accuracy of radar level meters. The accuracy of ordinary radar level meters is much lower than that of precision radar level meters. Choosing between ordinary or precision radar level meters should be based on actual process requirements, otherwise, unnecessary expenses may be incurred.
3. Choose antenna size based on actual material level parameters. Due to differences in antenna size and type, the range width also varies. There are various types of lens antennas for radar level meters, including rod type, horn type, parabolic type, etc. The selection of antenna form can be measured based on the material level parameters.

When installing a radar level meter, avoid the feeding port, feeding curtain, and vortex, as the medium will produce a false echo with a much larger amplitude than the effective echo reflected by the measured liquid level during the injection. Meanwhile, the irregular liquid level caused by vortices can scatter microwave signals, causing attenuation of effective signals, so they should be avoided.

For containers with agitators, the installation position of the radar level meter should not be near the agitator, as irregular vortices will be generated during stirring, which can cause attenuation of the radar signal. At the same time, the blades of the agitator can also cause false echoes of microwave signals, especially when the relative dielectric constant of the measured object is small and the liquid level is low, the impact of the agitator is more severe.

In case of this fault, you can first check whether the power supply and communication cables are normal for troubleshooting.

When communication equipment or components malfunction, it is necessary to debug software, conduct data testing, check sensor status, and repair or replace components.

1. There are many reasons for inaccurate data display. For example, if there is a sudden power outage before the end of data storage, abnormal data display may occur and the liquid level meter needs to be recalibrated. Check the fuse of the device again to see if there is any problem. If there are any problems, replace them promptly.
2. Check the initial setting of the radar level meter and check if the connection method of the display function module plugin is normal. If the output voltage and current are greater than 22mA, it is judged that the display system module of the radar level meter is faulty and needs to be replaced on time.
3. If the current is less than 3.5 mA, it can be determined that the electronic module of the radar level meter is faulty and needs to be replaced promptly.

Product/Technical Issues

Remove crystals, clean with an acidic cleaning solution, use suitable heat tracing or blowing air to extend the crystallization time, and clean dust and scars, and the instrument will return to normal operation, but material level measurement cannot be carried out during the cleaning period.

Generally, it is normal to wipe off the condensation water on the antenna or reset the instrument parameters and reset them.

When measuring the boundary, it is required that the dielectric constant of the upper liquid must be 10 times greater than that of the lower liquid surface. If the dielectric constants of the two interfaces are not significantly different, they will become wave shapes. When measuring, due to the fact that the time taken for the liquid level and boundary position are the same, the two signals generated will overlap, affecting the measurement results.

Wave loss is caused by turbulence, vortex, etc. The thick foam will lead to the diffusion or absorption of radar waves, so the echo is weak or no echo. When measuring the liquid level of low dielectric constant liquids, wave loss often occurs due to the weak reflection ability of the liquid level. To address this issue, it is necessary to set the application system parameters for the process technology characteristics inside the container. If there is no significant improvement, it is recommended to replace the installation position or replace it with a larger antenna to enhance the echo intensity.

When the actual liquid level change is consistent with the measured value, but the values are not equal, the first issue is that the instrument itself is not a problem. Starting from the principle of the equipment, the height of the empty tank must be accurate to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability, and real-time measurement is required before calibration to obtain real data. If the instrument is connected to a computer system, it is necessary to check whether the full-scale parameters of the instrument are consistent with the computer data.

Firstly, ensure that the communication settings of the instrument, such as slave address, baud rate, verification method, etc., are consistent with the requirements of the upper computer. If there is no data feedback in the communication of multiple instruments on site, check whether the connection of the field communication bus is accurate and reliable and whether the RS485 converter is normal. If there is only a single or a small number of instrument communication abnormalities, the corresponding communication lines should also be checked. The address of the slave machine for abnormal and normal instrument changes can be modified to test, eliminate, or confirm software problems on the upper computer, or test, eliminate, or confirm instrument faults by changing the installation position of abnormal and normal instruments.

Firstly, when using a guided wave radar level meter, it is important to pay attention to the measurement range. Working beyond the range not only fails to obtain accurate measurement data but may also cause damage to the radar level meter. The measurement range should be calculated from the bottom of the tank touched by the microwave. If the storage tank is special and has a concave bottom, and the level is below the calculation point, measurement cannot be carried out. Secondly, when measuring low dielectric constant media, if its level is lower than the liquid level measurement value and the tank bottom is visible, to make the measurement more accurate, the zero point can be adjusted upwards to a position higher than the tank bottom. Although the measurement range value can reach the top position of the antenna tip, it is only an ideal state. In reality, the influence of adhesion needs to be considered. So the measurement value should be fixed at least 100mm away from the top of the antenna as much as possible. Finally, if the measured medium is in continuous motion, to ensure measurement accuracy, it is recommended to fix the waveguide tube at the bottom of the storage tank on site and then fix it in the middle position. During the welding process, it is necessary to ensure the smoothness of the inner wall of the waveguide tube. To prevent obstacles caused by concave and convex points, it is also necessary to ensure the flatness of the welding.
